Controlling cameras with WhatsApp

My favorite 2017 moment was when I WhatsApped my du Assistant, "Show me who’s in my office" and it replied with a live photo of me and my colleagues in the du Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA) office in Emirates Towers in Dubai, UAE.

UIB deployed many successful customer projects and integrations over 2017, changing the way people around the world communicate with their smart things, customer chatbots, and enterprise systems. The Bosch smart camera, however, is my favorite as it was a project I managed myself from scratch. (The picture on the right was taken from within the "du assistant" via my personal WhatsApp.)

Later that day we demonstrated what our UnificationEngine™ intelligent IoT messaging platform could do for smart home, smart city, and smart enterprise solutions to the UAE’s Minister for AI (the world’s first!). UIB’s work at the DFA resulted in signing an agreement with du telecom under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai.
